2027-2031 Strategic Plan
This strategic plan provides a practical roadmap for advancing the Strategic Energy Management (SEM) Collaborative’s mission and vision over the next three to five years. It identifies the most important priorities, guides how resources should be focused, and provides a basis for assessing progress and outcomes, so board members, staff, volunteers, members and stakeholders can align around shared impact.
Source: SEM Collaborative BoardThe strategic plan provides a clear direction for where the organization wants to go by establishing medium and longer-term goals and objectives, while annual action planning, including the specific tasks that will be executed, resources required, and development of associated performance metrics, is typically the responsibility of staff and volunteer leaders who are responsible for implementation. By establishing and reporting against these metrics, in alignment with the strategic plan, a system of accountability will be created to ensure that progress is made towards achieving the organization’s goals.
Governance & Accountability
The board and executive leadership should use this plan as a living management and governance tool. Progress should be reviewed regularly, with a dashboard or written update showing accomplishments, barriers, resource needs, and proposed adjustments.
